i'm still in shock!
last night, motsa-ei shabat, rav firer's assistant calls me and says - the result of the pathology exam that we sent abroad arrived on shabat. and i didn't want for you to wait until morning to hear the good news - there is no cancer!!!
shock!
it was all a mistake!!! there never was cancer! all the tests were for nothing! all the crying, all the support; all the exams, all the follow-ups, all the prayers - were all for nothing! were all in vain!
is this a miracle cure? do we say hagomel? do we say - baruch rofe cholim? - there is no cure! there never was a disease!
for now i can just repeat what others told us - she-heche-ianu veki-imanu ve-higuianu lazman haze. baruch hashem, thank g-d a million times.
and today we need to get in touch with the doctors and discuss the meaning of this. will they stand in awe like us at the wonder of this whole episode? will they ask for a third lab examination? will ilan be released altogether from oncology? will they still want to do follow-ups? - we'll see.
meantime, we are still digesting this wonderful shocking news...
