feelings

some of my friends think that if i write about fears then, with true friendship, they should help me get over it.

that if i write about shame, they should help me get over it.

i appreciate the kind efforts but i want to clarify something about the way i function -

talking and writing about things calms me down. talking about fear, removes some of the fear. talking about shame, removes some of the shame.

and the most important point is, perhaps, that anything that i can talk or write about is already well under control...

the real scary stuff, the real shameful things, are the things that i cannot talk about to others, and perhaps not even to myself...
